Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration that focuses attention on the good work done by the nation’s Catholic schools. The week will be observed Jan. 29 to Feb. 3, 2012. If you are considering schools for your child, please contact us to meet our teachers and students, tour the school, and learn more about our tradition of faith in education.
Week's Schedule of Events:
Catholic Schools Sunday, January 29th, 2012
9am-12pm: Open House and Guided Tours

Guided tours of the main school and early childhood preschool center will be available. Due to the limited spots in the increasingly popular preschool program, early registration is highly encouraged. Any new families wishing to register a child in the school should bring a birth certificate, baptismal certificate and a one time $300 non-refundable registration fee. Tours will start in the blue room of the school. To enter the blue room, pull in to the parking lot in the back of schools and look for signs. It is near the gymnasium entrance.

Registration for 3 & 4 year old preschoolers will take place in the blue room. If you are a new family, please bring a birth certificate and your checkbook for your one time non-refundable registration deposit. Registration forms will be available at school.

Registration for new Kindergarten through 8th grade students will take place in the school office. Please enter the school via the blue room or gymnasium doors, and follow the signs to the office.
11 am: 11am mass for all students - attendance is required. Attire is nice dress clothes, uniform is not necessary. Invite your family to attend this beautiful mass led by the children.
1pm: Lottery Drawing! If you are interested in purchasing a ticket, please contact the office at 847-724-2240 for your chance to win one of the amazing prizes.
After 1pm, families interested in attending the Annual Ski Trip may be departing for The Timber Ridge Resort for the water park and ski trip!
Monday, January 30th
No school due to required attendance on Sunday, January 30th. Consider bonding with other SCL families in the Annual Ski Trip!
Tuesday, January 31st
Big Brother and Sister Day - Students K-8 will be engaging in an activity with their big brother or sister just for the fun of it!
Wednesday, February 1st
Student Appreciation Day - Students K-3 will be going to North Shore Center for Performing Arts. We will be playing Bingo, the great Catholic pastime, with our Big Brothers and Sisters in the afternoon.
Thursday, February 2nd
Teacher Appreciation Day - Come see the students in their classrooms during our Open House 8:30-11:30am. Teachers will enjoy a luncheon from 11:30 - 12:30 pm. Parent volunteers will supervise the classrooms while the teachers enjoy some downtime.
Friday, February 3rd
School Appreciation Day - We will all meet in the gym for the "Breakfast of Champions" and hear each class perform their own cheer about SCL!
