Three year old preschool teacher, Ms. Weihs, joined SCL in 2001 after teaching in a kindergarten classroom in Northfield.  Prior to that, Ms. Weihs graduated from Augustana College in 2000.

"I became a teacher because I love to interact, teach, and be with children. It is awesome to watch their faces when they are learning something new for the first time, finally grasping a concept, taking enjoyment in their work/project, or just having fun at school."

Although parents can sometimes be apprehensive or neverous sending their child off on their first day of school, they can feel confident in Ms. Weihs' ability to welcome and adapt to each child as an individual.  Parents will later visito her class in action and are amazed at how effectively and gracefully she manages the classroom.

In her downtime, Ms. Weihs loves reading books, zumba, watching movies, Amazing Race, and traveling - especially to see her nephew in Colorado.
