Meredith Demma

I have been teaching at St. Catherine Labouré since 2009 and have truly enjoyed all that St. Catherine’s has to offer its students. I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. I am endorsed to teach middle school social studies, science, and language arts. My minor was in sociology with a concentration on school and education.

My philosophy of teaching is forever changing as I develop and continue my career as an educator. As an elementary school teacher, I know the importance of educating children and providing them with a foundation to learn. This foundation will enable the children I teach to build on what they have learned in my classroom as they grow and continue on their path as students. I enjoy hands on work and creating fun activities that engage thinking and promote learning. I use a wide range of activities in order to meet the needs of my students, keep my classroom engaged in learning and develop the desire to learn more.

I spend most of my free time with my son, Steven. I also enjoy scrapbooking, arts and crafts, and being outdoors.
