School Hours:

School begins at 8:00 a.m. Students arriving after 8:10 a.m. need to report to the office for a tardy slip. The lunch room door will be locked at 8:15 a.m. and students must enter through the front door. School is dismissed at 2:30 p.m.

Extended Care Program:

Extended Care is available for all children, preschool through 8th grade from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Drop off and Pick Up Procedures:

There will be no parking allowed on Thornwood Lane. The circular drive in the front of the school is for buses only. Parents are not permitted to use the driveway for dropping off or picking up their children. Children should be dropped off and picked up at the back school entrance. Parents can either drop their child off at the gym doors or park their car and walk their child into school. Children K-2 may go directly to their classrooms. Grades 3-8 should remain in the lunchroom until their homeroom teacher picks them up at 8:00 a.m. School is dismissed at 2:30 p.m., and children must be picked up at the back entrance by a parent or designee. Children will not be allowed to run to a car waiting in the parking lot.

School Bus Service:

Bus service is available for K-8th children living within District 34 and more than a mile and a half away from school. Contact the front office at (847) 724-2240 to get your children on the bus route. Bus Service is operated through District 34 therefore will not operate during District 34 days off.

Uniforms:

New school uniforms and gym uniforms can be purchased through Dennis Uniforms. They are located at 1400 E. Business Center Drive, Mt. Prospect, IL, 60056. Online orders may be placed through www.dennisuniform.com. All students should be dressed in their uniforms on the first day of school.

BOYS (K-8):

1. Red knit shirt with the school logo. A plain white t-shirt may be worn under the school shirt.
2. Navy blue pants, twill or corduroy.
3. Athletic shoes may be worn.
4. Optional uniform for August, September, October, April, May and June; Navy walking shorts and red logo shirt.
5. Navy blue or white socks.

GIRLS:

1. Plaid shift, skirt or skort, along with white knit shirt with the school logo; or plaid jumper with plain cotton shirt.
2. Navy blue or white socks/tights – no socks worn over tights and no leggings.
3. Athletic shoes may be worn.
4. Navy twill pants - no slacks or leggings under their uniform skirt during cold weather.
